writing workshop - speak the truth, even if your voice shakes
Time & Location
About the Event
There is truth, there is fact, there is fiction - and between them the whole world lives. Join us for a creative writing workshop that explores the spaces between. This will be led by writer and editor Mish Green, and is open to all trans and non-binary people. We have a maximum of 12 places, so please book early! Free, no charge.
Author and editor Mish Green will be guiding you through exercises to inspire your creative exploration. You will need something to write with and on - that can be paper and pen, or on your computer if you prefer. You can be a newbie or a published writer or anywhere in between - Mish regularly works with writers at all stages. The workshop will be open to all forms of writing i.e. poetry, fiction, life writing, hybrid forms and so on.
This workshop is open to trans and non binary people only. If you’re not sure if this applies to you, get in touch - we are happy to discuss it with you.
The workshop will take place on Zoom, so you will need internet access and a device/computer with both sound and video capability, and it would be advantageous to also use a headset if you can, as this massively improves sound quality which helps access for all of us.
Please let us know if you have access issues, particularly those relating to vision, hearing or cognitive processing - we will do our best to accommodate! To help this, we will send you a written outline of the workshop in advance, Mish will then talk it all through with you on the day, and afterwards we can send you written notes on the workshop if this would help you to participate more fully in the moment.
We will be holding in-person workshops in cities across the UK in 2021, when we take our book on a physical tour, so for this online workshop we will prioritise those who would be physically unable to travel to an in-person workshop due to disability, caring responsibilities, work, being at a great distance from the in-person events next year etc. For reference, we are planning to hold workshop events in 2021 in Manchester, Birmingham, Swansea, Bristol, London and Edinburgh.
